Description: Gale's Literary Index is a master index to every literary series published by Gale (e.g., Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary Criticism, Twentieth Century Literary Criticism, Nineteenth-Century Literature Criticism, etc.).

Description: Google Scholar is a subset of Google that focuses on peer-reviewed journal articles and scholarly books. When you do a search in Google Scholar, links to full text articles are provided when available through Douglas College.

Description: GreenFILE is a free research database covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.

Description: Covers all aspects of music. It includes the full text of the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, the New Grove Dictionary of Opera, the New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, the Oxford Companion to Music and more.

Subject: Indigenous Studies, First Nations Studies
Description: The Indigenous Studies Portal (iPortal) is a database of full-text electronic resources such as articles, e-books, theses, government publications, videos, oral histories, and digitized archival documents and photographs. The iPortal content has a primary focus on Indigenous peoples of Canada with a secondary focus on North American materials and beyond.
Access: iPortal has freely available materials that can be used by anyone. It also includes resources that are licensed by the Douglas College library and can be accessed using your CNA to access.

Description: Provides access to scholarly journals mainly in the arts, humanities and social sciences. Subject coverage includes: Anthropology, Education, Finance, History, Literature, Philosophy, Political Science, and Sociology
Access: JSTOR includes many publications that delay access to current issues.  Most of these access delays are in the 3 - 5 year range.  If a recent issue is not available check the journal's moving wall field to see when it will become available.  Note: the article may be available in another Douglas College Database.

Description: Lexidrug (previously known as Lexicomp) provides point of care drug information, including dosing, administration, warnings and precautions, as well as clinical content such as clinical practice guidelines, and other tools.

Description: LGBTQ+ Life with Full Text is a full text database regarding gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues. Designed for academic, professional, and public communities.
