Create and connect: embroidery with Elder June

About this event

Body
Two embroidery hoops displaying black fabric covered with beautiful colorful embroidered flowers and foliage

Drop into the New Westminster Library this Fall on select Thursdays at lunch for a series of creative, hands-on, and screen-free activities. Create something you can take with you, share ideas and connect with others who love making things too! Light snacks will be provided - feel free to bring your lunch too.

Join Elder June for a hands-on embroidery workshop and learn basic stitching techniques while exploring creativity and connection through this traditional art form. All materials will be provided. No experience is necessary, and all students are welcome.

You are also welcome to attend a second session of embroidery with Elder June in the Indigenous Gathering Place at the NW Campus on Thursday, October 29 from 12-2.
