Collections cancellations - August 2025

Earlier this summer, the College confirmed the need for departments to reduce expenditures in response to lower international student enrolments.

In order to meet established financial targets, the Library has regrettably had to make the very difficult decision to cancel some of our print and electronic book and journal subscriptions.
In making these decisions we considered a variety of factors, including:

• Availability of duplicate content in other licensed digital collections
• Availability of alternate formats or resources in the Douglas Library physical collection
• Availability of alternate formats or resources at other BC libraries
• Cost
• Usage

Please see the list of cancelled items below. For faculty teaching in fall term, please consider the alternative sources noted below if you are searching for materials or if you are directing your students to any of the below resources. If you need assistance finding materials for your teaching or research, please contact your subject librarian.
