This week marks the launch of our new library services platform, FOLIO. FOLIO has replaced our previous library catalogue system, Sierra. The change from Sierra to FOLIO was necessary to support the significant growth and management of our digital collections, to improve workflows and collections usage analysis, and to ensure the ongoing development and enhancement of the system to support our Douglas College community.
What does this mean to you as a Douglas College Library user?
- You will need to start your search in OneSearch, accessible from the Library home page. The catalogue has been fully integrated into OneSearch, which allows you to search across all of our physical and digital collections, including reserves and equipment.
- You can access your Library Account in OneSearch as well.
- If you have links to Douglas College Library electronic resources in your courses, links should persist and should not require updating.
- If you have links to items in the library catalogue in your courses, they will need to be updated.
