Join us for an interactive session where instructors can share experiences focused on enhancing student engagement. Register Here.
Participants will discuss how to:
- Foster a growth-oriented classroom: Use a mentor mindset to set high expectations while supporting students.
- Provide feedback: Deliver feedback that encourages learning and stimulates growth.
- Create relevance and purpose: Design activities and discussions that connect course content to students’ lives and goals.
- Build belonging and inclusion: Cultivate an environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to participate.
Through discussion, reflection, and activities, you’ll leave inspired to engage learners more effectively, increase participation, motivation, and overall classroom energy.
What to Expect:
- Facilitated by Cathy Mills, Rhonda Benke, and Angela Katsamakis
- Interactive format with self-reflective activities, small and large group discussions
- Use of Mentimeter, Padlet, and other digital tools accessible via smartphone or computer
- Themes and discussions will be captured to help build our resources on Blackboard
