Elders in the classroom video series - Launch

About this event

Body

Join us for a screening of new video resources that are now available for use in the classroom and for professional development and learning.

In the summer of 2024 and 2025, with support from the Indigenous Pathways and Partnerships funding from the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills, we invited College Elders to share their stories and wisdom in this new video series. These resources have been developed to meet a need to bring diverse Indigenous voices into our learning spaces. It is not always possible to invite an Elder into the classroom. These new resources can be embedded into online classes on Blackboard, played during in-person classes, and shared during professional development events.

At this special launch event, the College community is invited to view the videos and speak to our College Elders about the topics they share in these new resources.
