Backwards design
About this event
Join us for an interactive 45-minute workshop exploring backwards design principles for course and lesson planning. We'll work together to flip the traditional planning process - beginning with desired learning outcomes and working backwards to create meaningful assessments and learning activities.
This collaborative session will include small group discussions, practical exercises, and opportunities to apply backwards design thinking to your own courses. Whether you're developing a new course or refreshing an existing one, you'll leave with concrete strategies for creating more intentional and effective learning experiences.
Bring your laptop or tablet if you'd like to work digitally, though all activities can be completed with pen and paper. Perfect for faculty at any stage of their teaching jouney.
