Join us for popcorn, refreshments, and a short discussion to follow a matinee screening of HBO documentary After Truth: Disinformation and the Cost of Fake News. This film focuses on the threat of disinformation, fake news, and conspiracy theories in the wake of the 2016 U.S. presidential election – illustrating the impact this phenomenon has on us as individuals, and our society and institutions. Popcorn and refreshments will be served while supplies last.
This screening will be hosted in the NW Library, inside N2100B (Silent Study Room/Library Event Space) on Friday, March 7 from 12:30pm-2:30pm. The film runs for 1 hr 35 min, with a short discussion to follow.
