Reserve a Seat
Studying in the Library
We are pleased to expand our library services to offer bookable study space at both campus libraries from 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday. The maximum occupancy is 30 individuals and this service is open to all, though only current Douglas College students and employees can book a computer.
You don't need to reserve a seat to borrow materials, instead use our Take-out service to request items for pick up at the front desk.
Step 2 - Check-in
Use the confirmation code we sent you to check-in up to half an hour before your reservation. Bring it with you to the library, show us the confirmation screen or a print-out, and your study period starts! If you're stuck, we can help you with this step.
Step 3 - Check-out
Please remember to check-out when you leave for the day. If you leave early this allows another student to make a reservation after you.
There are in-and-out privileges, just talk to a staff member at the front counter.
Information & Guidelines
Watch our helpful video on how to reserve a seat. (2:08)
Please observe physical distancing and Covid safety guidelines outlined by the College.
Food is not allowed in the Library though drinks in covered containers are fine.
There is no weekly booking limit and you can book up to seven hours per day, from 9am - 4pm, Monday through Friday, one week in advance.
You'll receive a reminder email two hours before your reservation begins and within that email you'll find your confirmation number and a check-in link. Check-in up to half an hour before starting your study session or, alternatively, there is also a opportunity to cancel your reservation.
We'll hold your seat for 30 minutes but you'll have to re-reserve if that time passes.
