Call for International Student Story Submissions!
Thursday, November 17, 2022

Every year, education institutions, governments, and not-for-profits around the world join together in November to celebrate International Education Week. This week serves as a great opportunity to recognize the value of education abroad and at home, learn more about the experiences of students from around the globe, and celebrate the diverse backgrounds of our communities. The Library, in collaboration with Douglas International, is excited to announce plans for an International Student Story Circle on Thursday, November 17th from 3:30-5:00pm at Douglas College Library at the New Westminster campus.

Join us to hear Douglas international students share their migration stories and tell us how they came to be here at Douglas College. There will also be a focus on the many materials in the Douglas College Library collection that tell diverse migration stories of international and Canadian authors.

We look forward to a chance to connect and learn about those we work and learn with at this in person event. The event is open to all who wish to attend, including students, alumni, employees and community members. Light refreshments will be served.
