Sign Up For Email Alerts

See the following instructions to sign up for your email alerts. These alerts allow students and employees to receive automatic email messages about newly published books or journal articles on your topics.

Alerts for Books and Videos

Connect to the library catalogue.

  • Login to My Library Account.
  • Use the search box to search for material on your topic and hit search.
  • Click on the 'Save as preferred search' button.
View your list of saved searches.
  • Click on Patron Record at the top of the screen, then Preferred Searches.
  • Check the box under 'Mark for Email'
  • Click 'update list' to save the change.
  • Logout.

You will receive notice of new titles at the start of each week. Remember, you may save as many searches as you need.


Alerts for Journals and Articles

Create a search for email alerting in EBSCO Databases.
  • Connect to one of the EBSCO databases.
  • Click on the Advanced Search tab and do a search or search a specific journal.
  • Click on the Search History/Alerts tab then on Save Search/Alerts.
Sign into your EBSCOhost account or register for one.
  • Click on 'I'm a new user'.
  • The 'Create a new account' window appears. Fill in the form and save.
Save the search as an alert.
  • The Save Searches/Alert window appears. Fill in the form.
  • Next to Save Search As, click on Alert. Save.
  • EBSCO Alerts might be routed to your SPAM or junk mail folder. Make sure to adjust your email to accept messages from EPAlerts@EPNET.COM
