DESCRIPTION:<p>The Douglas College Learning Centre is hosting a student <a href="/learningcentre/writing-contest">short story writing contest</a>! The top three submissions will win cash prizes, and selected winners and honourable mentions will be featured in a digital publication. All participants will also be invited to a Story Slam hosted by the Library and Learning Centre, where students can read their stories live and compete for the Audience Choice Award. Final winners will be announced at the Storm Slam event on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.</p><p>Private event by invitation only.</p>
